Psion / EPOC Software

So, you've come to look at my software pages. If you are looking to download something and can't wait to get you're hands on it, visit the download page which contains links to everything available. Otherwise, read a bit of history and some details of all the things I've written.

First off, many thanks to all the people who have registered for software over the years, either via RegNet or by sending me money in the post - your contributions have been greatly appreciated!

Sadly, due to lack of time (and motivation) I've pretty much given up on my Psion software (and my poor old Psion 5). So I've shut down my applications on RegNet, and in the interests of the Psion / EPOC community have decided to make all the source code available. If you are interested in looking at it, please read the Using Sourcecode page before downloading it.

So, enough waffle, here are the apps:

Othello Version 2

Othello, sometimes called Reversi, is played on an 8x8 board with black and white pieces. The object of the game is to have more pieces of your colour on the board than your opponent at the end of the game. You can play against the computer or in two player mode against a human being! If you register you get some cheat options!!

Tickle Version 2

Tickle is a list ticking program which allows you to make lists and have multiple columns in which to place ticks when you have started, finished, given up on, or whatever each item in the list.

Signature Version 1.11

Signature is a small helper app which allows you to add signatures onto the end of emails you write in Psion's email software - something that Psion seem to have forgotten about in every version they have written!

Companion Version 1.6

Companion is an extension of Signature which allows you to store email addressess and fax numbers for intserting directly into the email application. It also has a comment option for placing those comment markers (>) in reply to emails.

Noughts and Crosses

This is the traditional game of Noughts and Crosses, or Tic Tac Toe as it is sometimes called. You can play against the computer or against a friend. I think I've managed to write and unbeatable level - why not test your skill?

Solitaire

This is the peg version of Solitaire where you have to jump the pegs over each other and finish with the last peg in the centre hole. The program has a built in solution so you can see how to do it if you can't work it out yourself.

DirPrint Version 4

What are all those files on my Psion? DirPrint will give you a complete listing, sorted by date last accessed, which means it is also useful for finding that file you were working on just recently.

Virus

A virus - for the Psion? Hmm, maybe my next app should be a virus checker! This could be a rather clever money spinning idea... No, it's just a harmless little bit of fun really, I'll even give you the instructions to revome it! (Aren't I kind?)
